rewards

An incentive for people who find cameras. Reports that offer a reward are displayed on the map with a star:

If you have lost your camera

By offering a reward, you are saying that you would pay the reward to someone who finds your lost camera and returns it.

You are under no obligation to pay the reward. You are simply saying you would pay it assuming you were happy.

You must not pay any reward until you are reunited with your camera and are happy it is your camera and in the condition you expect.

If your camera was stolen

By offering a reward, you are saying that you would pay the reward to someone who offers you information that ultimately leads to you being reunited with your camera.

For example, someone may contact you to say they have seen your camera in the local second-hand shop. If you are able to provide proof to the police that the camera in the shop is yours and was stolen from you, you may be able to get your camera back. At that point, you may choose to thank the person that provided you with the information by paying them the reward.

If you have found a camera

If you have found someone's camera, you may be eligible for a reward once it is returned.

No reward will be paid until the camera is reunited with the rightful owner and even then, there is no guarantee that you will be paid a reward. This is to protect against false claims for reward money.

For example, if you attempt to return the camera but it is lost in the post, you will not be able to claim a reward.

If a crime was committed the police may be notified with any information you provide.
